About AONN+ FFL
The Academy of Oncology Nurse & Patient Navigators (AONN+) Foundation for Learning, Inc. (AONN+ FFL) is a specialty organization created in 2009 through affiliation with AONN+. AONN+ FFL is a separate legal entity that oversees the Oncology Nurse Navigator–Certified Generalist (ONN-CG) and Oncology Patient Navigator–Certified Generalist (OPN-CG) certification exams and manages all activities related to ANAB accreditation and oncology nurse and patient navigator certification.

Lisa Hartman, Director of Certification for the AONN+ Foundation for Learning (FFL), comes with a diverse work and education background. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in English prior to returning to school for both an associate degree and a bachelor’s degree in nursing. As a nurse, she worked in critical care, nephrology, and oncology, and was responsible for creating an oncology navigation program in a rural North Carolina community hospital. From 2015 to 2021, she worked in corporate healthcare, having the opportunity to help define, create, and roll out a nationally recognized oncology navigation program, as well as the opportunity to strategize and oversee all corporate learning initiatives.
Erica Williams, BSN, RN, OCN, CBCN

Erica Williams, BSN, RN, OCN, CBCN, Senior Manager of Certification for the AONN+ Foundation for Learning (FFL), comes with a diverse oncology background. As an oncology nurse, she has practiced as an inpatient nurse, a chemo-infusion nurse, a radiation oncology nurse, navigator, and an oncology administrator, leading teams that support cancer patients and their family members. Prior to joining AONN+ FFL, she worked in corporate healthcare as Senior Manager of Navigation, having the opportunity to help lead, support, and mentor navigators across the country.
As AONN+ FFL’s Senior Manager of Certification, she is responsible for assisting in the growth of certification in a variety of ways, including the standardization of operational processes and reenergizing FFL committees by exploring new opportunities and further development.
Ms. Williams lives in middle Tennessee and enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering in her local community, traveling, and cheering on the Tennessee Titans and Nashville Predators.
Certification Advisory Commission
The Certification Advisory Commission is a leadership group comprised of stakeholders from across the navigation continuum. This group serves as the managing body for all certification-related activities and is the ultimate decision-maker for all certification-related policies and practices.
