Become a Certified Oncology Navigator through AONN+ Foundation for Learning
Certification provides credentialing for both nurse and patient navigators, demonstrating an acquired core body of specialized knowledge of navigation practice. Academy of Oncology Nurse & Patient Navigators (AONN+) Foundation for Learning, Inc. (AONN+ FFL) certification is unique to the field of navigation. The establishment of baseline competencies for oncology navigators, centered on their roles, responsibilities, required knowledge and skills, and evidence-based best practices, will help to ensure that nurse and patient navigators have the knowledge to competently demonstrate effective navigation services across the cancer care continuum within their scope of practice.
AONN+ Foundation for Learning certification will provide specific credentials to enhance professional credibility, marketability, and opportunities for career advancement.
The AONN+ FFL is a specialty organization created in 2010 through affiliation with AONN+. AONN+ FFL is a separate legal entity that oversees the Oncology Nurse Navigator–Certified Generalist and Oncology Patient Navigator–Certified Generalist certification exams.
As you may have recently noticed, the AONN+ website completely relaunched in May, and we are excited to announce that phase 2 of this relaunch is focused on the FFL website!
AONN+ FFL has always recognized the value of an accredited certification program for our navigator community and stays committed to supporting this program.
During this time the certification renewals are still active, and that page can be accessed here: https://aonnffl.org/renew.
In the interim, please visit our improved AONN+ website highlighting current CE educational resources, navigation toolkits, and discussion boards, as well as professional development opportunities including mentorship, publishing, conference, and networking events to enhance your navigation practice.
We hope you are as excited as we are and can’t wait to be back with a new look and feel plus added information soon!
